About Zorya
We’re designing a light-filled retreat that fuses education, wellness, sustainability and spirituality, nestled in a green oasis by the Mrežnica river. At ZoryaCenter, our name is more than a title — it’s a tribute to ancient light and timeless intention.
“Zorya” — sometimes known as Zora, Zorja, Zarja, Zaria, or Zorza — comes from the Old Slavic word zoŗà, meaning “dawn” or “aurora.” It stems from the root zrěti, “to see” or “to shine,” reflecting a world where light was not only a physical presence but a symbol of vision, hope, and renewal.
To the Slavs, Zorya was more than morning light — she was an awakening, a promise, a guiding star. At ZoryaCenter, we carry that spirit forward: illuminating paths, fostering clarity, and honoring the deep wisdom that begins with a simple light.
Primary Activities
The center offers workshops and seminars focused on body detox and raw, plant-based nutrition, grounded in naturopathic principles and natural hygiene. Organic produce from on-site eco-gardens is used to ensure quality and nutrition. These programs aim to strengthen the immune system, reduce inflammation, and boost energy and emotional balance.
Water Fasting
Supervised short and long water fasts using filtered/distilled water, tailored to each guest.
Mashala Art (Qi Gong & Tai Chi)
Movement practices that unite breath, body, and mindfulness. Based on ancient martial arts and traditional Chinese medicine.
Dance & Music for Healing
Expressive dance workshops and musical experiences to awaken creativity and relieve emotional tension.
Education & Holistic Bodywork
Hands-on training and treatments in various manual and energy healing therapies, including: Shiatsu, Craniosacral therapy, and Other energy-based modalities

Draft of the Zorya Center Permaculture Project
Following a comprehensive geodetic survey of the area, a conceptual design was developed for a retreat center and permaculture eco-estate, centered around a round eco-house crafted from natural materials.
The project also features cozy bungalows and supporting amenities, including a round pavilion, parking, compost toilets, a private house, a yoga pavilion, a green oasis, and a natural swimming pool.
Designed as an eco retreat, ZoryaCenter offers a peaceful space for relaxation, as well as a venue for workshops, educational programs, and seminars.
Nestled among lush greenery, an orchard, and an organic garden, the project aims to create a unique and immersive connection with nature.
